One person was shot during a home invasion in Dunnellon on Tuesday, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to a residence in the 10400th block of SW 122nd Court at 2 a.m.
When they arrived at the scene, deputies found two people, one with a gunshot wound.
The person who had been shot was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
The other person, the resident of the home, stayed at the scene. The resident told deputies the person entered the home and a struggle ensued between them. It resulted in the person being shot, deputies said.
