Definitely a cold start to our Sunday with lows for most in the upper 30s to low 40s.

Parts of Marion County actually made it down into the upper 20s! We had plenty of sunshine for the afternoon, but with breezy northerly winds pulling in the cold air, temperatures stayed well below average for this time of year. Highs were only around 60 degrees. We’ll stay quiet for the majority of this upcoming work week, but will stay unseasonably cool.

Mostly clear skies are in the forecast through the overnight hours. Temperatures will not be as cold as Sunday morning, but still rather chilly. Lows will fall into the mid to low 40s with even some of our northern spots in the 30s. Marion County is under a Frost Advisory due to temperatures close to freezing possible Monday morning.

Martin Luther King Day will be a sunny one with temperatures in the mid to low 60s. The average high for mid-January is typically in the low 70s. No rain is expected for our work week, although a dry front will roll through on Wednesday. After several days in the 60s, this front will knock highs down into the 50s for Thursday. Warmer temperatures are in store for next weekend with a few showers possible.
