A 19-year-old woman was shot and killed in Kissimmee on Sunday, police said.

The incident happened at a home on North Forrest Avenue, near West Orange Street.
The woman, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Thomas Magda is a veteran who has been living near the intersection of North Forrest Avenue and West Orange Street for 20 years.
"It's always been a lot of people, hard workers most of them own their houses here," he said. "To see this happen so close to home is really heartbreaking."
An 18-year-old man was taken into custody. He is considered a person of interest in the case, according to the Kissimmee Police Department.
Police are active looking for tips or any leads in the investigation.
