We started the holiday weekend with plenty of clouds and some strong storms. The storms have ended, but an isolated shower will remain possible overnight with lows in the in the low to mid 70s.

Sunday will also feature partly sunny skies along with a decent chance of showers and storms. Highs for Sunday will be in the upper 80s to lower 90s.

Boaters on Sunday should expect light northerly and easterly winds at 5 knots. Seas will be 1-2 feet and smooth waters on the Intracoastal.

Surfers will experience poor to fair conditions on Sunday.

For Labor Day, expect more sunshine in the morning and scattered showers and storms developing in the PM hours. Highs for Labor Day will hold in the low 90s.

Rain chances are expected to continue heading into next week.

In the tropics, we continue to watch Hurricane Irma. Irma is in the open waters of the Atlantic and continues to move west. It is expected to remain a strong hurricane over the next several days.

We are also seeing a second system in the Atlantic that has a high chance of development.
