Walt Disney World union workers will get paid for missed wages because of Hurricane Irma.

"A representative of Disney called the heads of each union to report that they have decided to pay all cast members for their lost shifts on Sunday and Monday this past week," a union representative at a rally in front of Disney property announced Thursday.

Disney said it would pay those lost wages to nonunionized cast members — and now also to unionized employees.

Six unions had asked Disney to pay their unionized workers for shifts they missed because of park closures during the storm.
