Here's your Central Florida weather forecast for late Thursday into Friday morning, along with a look at weekend conditions.

We had a hot and humid Thursday, with showers and storms developing late in the day along the sea breeze collision.

With plenty of moisture sticking around, high rain chances will round out our work week. Expect partly cloudy skies through the overnight hours with temperatures in the mid-70s.

We’ll start out Friday quiet with some sunshine, but showers and storms will be likely heading into the afternoon. The rain may help to cool things down a bit with high temperatures reaching the upper 80s to low 90s again.

Dry air will drop south this weekend and lower rain chances quite a bit.

In the tropics, Jose was able to weaken to a tropical storm early Thursday. Jose is expected to stay well to our east and pose no direct impacts.

Late Thursday evening, we also had tropical depression fourteen develop south of the Cabo Verde Islands. Tropical Depression Fourteen is expected to move west through the Atlantic over the next several days. This storm is something we’ll continue to watch, but not a concern for Florida at this time.

There is also another area of low pressure we are watching in the Central Atlantic. This low has a high chance of becoming a tropical system soon as it tracks west.
