The Ocala Police Department is looking for a man who they say tried to attack a student outside Vanguard High School on Thursday.

- Anyone who has seen the man is asked to call police
Police say the man got out of a white newer model Ford Econoline-style van, which had no markings on the side, and rushed toward the 11th grade student.
The boy was able to fight the man off and the man ran away.
Investigators say the man is white and in his mid to late 30s, with short brown hair.
