A woman was shot in Daytona Beach Sunday morning, police said.

The incident happened at about 11 a.m. in the 500 block of Spruce Street.
According to police, the young woman suffered a gunshot wound to her abdomen.
She told officers the shooting was accidental, a police report said.
The woman was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators questioned witnesses at the scene.
