A Lake County business owner has been burglarized for the second time in less than three weeks.

Leesburg Police say several men broke into the Laptop Repair Service Center on U.S. Highway 441 early Monday morning.

Owner Jairo Huertas said the men smashed in the front door and were in and out in less than a minute.

"They hit us hard the very first time. This time, they couldn’t get much, only broken computers," he said.

On July 18, burglars got away with a $1,000 laptop computer from the business. Huertas said his other location in Mount Dora has also been burglarized.

"They don’t just smash the door, they know where to go," he said.

Leesburg Police said that same day, another business was hit in Leesburg, as well as others in Lady Lake.

"I know they wound up locating a vehicle that they suspected in those break-ins up there," Leesburg Police Lt. Joe Iozzi said.

"They tried to stop the car, but it fled. They chased them down into Leesburg toward Orange County, but because of the high rate of speed, they disengaged the pursuit," Iozzi said.

Two weeks before that, police say two men broke into two businesses in the Shops of Lake Village. In one of the break-ins, one of the men was heard shouting to the other, saying the name, "Vinny."

Leesburg Police recommends that business owners have an alarm system and camera systems that work well.

For his part, Huertas said he will continue to fight back by installing bars on his doors and windows.

"We have to somehow secure our businesses, so next time if they're going to break in, they'll think twice."

The cases remain under investigation.
