A man robbed a Friends Bank on Thursday, Ormond Beach Police said.

The incident happened at about 12:30 p.m. at the bank on South Nova Road.

The bank’s security company contacted police after seeing a bank employee with their hands up on the security feed.

A man entered the bank and passed a note to the teller demanding money, a news release said. The suspect implied that he had a weapon and forced two bank employees into the vault.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect left the bank.

The suspect was last seen wearing dark rubber boots, blue jeans, a yellow shirt and a dark baseball cap. He also had dark mesh material around his neck, police said.
