Help from the Space Coast is coming to the storm ravaged areas of Texas and Louisiana.

"A Day Away Kayak Tours" out of Mims is already in Lake Charles -- the group of six brought 52 kayaks and several guides to help rescue flood victims.
The group met up with the Louisiana Cajun Navy, a group of volunteers with watercraft who are rescuing people in Texas.
And they may need more help before all this is over. An hour ago the group posted on its Facebook page that it had to head back to DeRidder, Louisiana because rain bands are forcing them to higher ground. They're worried Louisiana may soon need rescue crews of their own.
If anyone in Brevard County or Central Florida is interested in joining them, head to the A Day Away Kayak Tours Facebook page. Please let them know especially you have kayaking, rescue or military experience.
The group is also running a GoFundMe page, with 100 percent of the funds going toward the rescue and relief effort.
Meantime, 195 Central Florida McDonald's stores have donated $100 each, with 37 local owners chipping in $500 each, for a total of $97,500 for the Houston relief fund.
Also, the Rodriguez family, which owns several Brevard-based restaurants, raised money to buy 1,200 cases of water to send to the flood-ravaged areas.
They are working to arrange a trailer to ship it there.
