Gov. Rick Scott said he sent 25 Florida Fish and Wildlife officers, with 17 high water vehicles, two Mobile Command Centers, eight shallow draft vessels and four patrol boats from the Pensacola area to Texas on Saturday.
They will be helping with search and rescue and disaster response efforts.
On Sunday, Scott said he asked Texas Gov. Greg Abbott how else Florida can help in Texas.
We will continue to provide any assistance that is requested. Florida stands with Texas.
