A lot of cloud cover and scattered showers to round out the weekend.

Low pressure remains over Florida, allowing for deep moisture to stick around. This low will slowly move northeast over the next couple of days, but high rain chances stick around in the meantime. Temperatures have been slightly below average; in the mid to upper 80s. This will continue through mid-week before rain chances back down and temperatures begin to heat back up.

Cloudy skies will continue through the overnight hours. Widespread rain will end early, but a few showers and possibly a storm will continue to be possible as we head toward daybreak on Monday.

Monday will be mostly cloudy with a few showers in the morning, then scattered showers and storms for the afternoon. Temperatures will be warm and muggy, reaching the mid to upper 80s. Low pressure will start to move away from us on Tuesday and rain chances will start to decrease as temperatures start to increase. By mid-week, we’ll only have a few showers in the forecast with highs in the low 90s.

In the tropics, Harvey is relentless over Texas with life-threatening rain. Some areas of southeast Texas have gotten over 20 inches already and 20-25 additional inches will be possible as Harvey meanders over the state the next few days. At this point, Harvey is not expected to start moving until the end of the week. Also, the low northeast of Central Florida was categorized as Potential Tropical Cyclone Ten Sunday afternoon and has a high chance of becoming a tropical system. If it does, it will be given the name Irma. Regardless, we’ll see no additional impacts from that low. There is another wave about to move off of Africa that has a low chance for formation as it moves into the Central Atlantic.
