We did have a few showers and storms developing, but coverage was limited due to some dry air sticking around.
With low pressure over south Florida, deep tropical moisture will get pushed in our direction and rain chances will be high for the rest of the week and into the weekend.
Partly cloudy skies are in the forecast through the overnight hours. Temperatures will be warm and muggy, falling into the mid-70s.
Moisture begins to push back into Central Florida Thursday. This means that the chance for showers and storms will be likely through the afternoon and evening hours. With the added rain, temperatures will back off slightly. Highs will climb into the low-90s for most.
The high rain chance will stick around right on through the weekend with high temperatures backing off into the upper 80s. Not looking at any more dry days in the near future.

In the tropics, Harvey was able to gain enough strength Wednesday morning and was upgraded to a tropical depression. It’s likely that as Harvey sits over the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, it will continue to strengthen.
The models all keep Harvey on a northwest track toward the Texas coast, but is a little uncertain about the exact location. Regardless, a lot of rain is expected along the Gulf Coast through the weekend.
There is also low pressure south of Florida that has a small chance for tropical formation over the next couple of days. This low will be responsible for higher rain chances for Central Florida.
Beach conditions remain the same for Thursday with an elevated rip current risk and a slight chop on the water.
