Expect warm and muggy conditions for the remainder of the overnight, with lows in the mid to upper 70s.

A few rain showers will be possible toward daybreak along the Treasure Coast. Some of these showers may sneak into southern Brevard County, but the majority of the area will stay dry.

Tomorrow will be hot and humid once again with a chance for isolated showers and storms in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid 90s.

Boating conditions are good today with winds coming out of the southwest switching to the southeast in the afternoon at 5-10 knots. Seas will run at 1-2 feet with a light chop on the intracoastal. Water temperates are 79 at Daytona Beach and 84 at Cocoa Beach. Swimmers and surfers are encouraged to stay near a lifeguard due to the moderate risk of rip currents and with the elevated heated indices you will want to be sure not to forget the sunscreen!

Tropical Depression Harvey continues to struggle in the central Caribbean. Harvey may develop further as it nears Central America, but that is becoming less certain.

Elsewhere, we are watching a tropical wave that is located 250 miles northeast of the northern Leeward Island. This complex has a low chance of development and could become a tropical depression. The system is expected to move northwestward and could impact the southern Bahamas early next week. If it becomes a tropical storm, its name would be Irma.

We are also watching a system in the central Atlantic producing shower and storm activity. This system has a low chance of development over the next five days and will like fall apart the next couple of days.

We are entering the peak time of hurricane season when storms are most likely to occur. The statistical peak of the Atlantic season is Sept.10.
