One of the workers was treated for a chemical burn when when the ammonia and chlorine mixture splashed on the worker's hand, Osceola County Fire Rescue said. Four others suffered respiratory problems, officials at the scene said.

"It’s a large building. ... Most laundry rooms are large for a hotel this size. They run through a lot of laundry," Battalion Chief Don Bell said. "So it's a large building and it's usually opened up real easily with big, roll-up doors. Thank goodness we can ventilate quickly," he said.

All were taken to Florida Hospital in Celebration for minor injuries.
