Rain chances will continue heading into Sunday. Expect partly cloudy skies in the morning with scattered showers and storms again developing in the PM hours. Highs for Sunday will be in the low 90s.

No major changes are expected for the work week. We’ll again see morning sunshine with scattered storms developing each day. Highs will hold in the low to mid 90s.

There are some indications some drier air may push into the area by Friday and next Saturday. This will reduce coverage of the typical PM storms. Temps will likely hold in the mid 90s.

In the tropics, we continue to keep an eye on a system now east of the Bahamas. The complex has shown some organization today and may develop further. The system has a high chance of development and could become a tropical depression or tropical storm in the next 1-2 days. If it becomes a tropical storm, its name would be ‘Gert’.
