The Osceola County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to identify the driver of a vehicle who ran over a man last month in a Cracker Barrel parking lot.

The incident happened at about 5:30 p.m. July 19 at the restaurant located at 5400 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee.

The victim told deputies that he parked, and a white Nissan Versa followed him into the parking lot. The victim exited the vehicle, and the driver of the Nissan "intentionally accelerated and ran over the victim," deputies said in a release.

The driver of the Nissan is described as a white male about 40-50 years old and weighing 210-225 pounds. The driver fled the scene after running over the victim.

Deputies didn't provide any information on the circumstances of the confrontation. 

Capt. Jacob Ruiz, a spokesman with the Osceola County Sheriff's Office, said the victim is back home in stable condition and continues to recover.
