SeaWorld wants you to help name its baby walrus.

  • SeaWorld launches search for walrus name
  • Asks voters to choose among 3 names
  • Reveal will happen Aug. 15 on Facebook

We got our first glimpse at the female walrus calf last month. She was born in June to Seaworld's walruses Garfield and Kaboodle.

She's now 8 weeks old, weighs about 180 pounds, eats nearly 6 liters of formula a day -- and she needs a name.

SeaWorld has settled on three names for the walrus: Ginger, because she's a redhead, Gabi, because she speaks her mind, or Umma, the Inuit word for "Hope," something SeaWorld says the endangered Pacific Walrus needs.

If you want to help name SeaWorld's baby walrus, head to the SeaWorld website to vote. You can vote once a day through Aug. 14. SeaWorld will announce the name live on Facebook Aug. 15.
