  • Investigators: Fabian inappropriately touched 17-year-old girl

Juan Eugenio Fabian was arrested Thursday and has been charged with battery, a first-degree misdemeanor, the Sheriff's Office said.

The agency investigated after the teen reported that she was inappropriately touched while riding in a van during a supervised community service program earlier this month. She said Fabian was seated behind her and touched her in several places without her permission, according to an arrest report.

Fabian was booked into the Polk Correctional Facility on $500 bond. The Sheriff’s Office has begun termination proceedings for Fabian, it said.
