A second man has been charged in the sexual battery case of a woman at a July party at the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity house on the University of Central Florida's main campus, according to a police report.

Former ATO member Antonio Candido, who graduated from UCF this past spring, turned himself into the Orange County Jail on Wednesday, according to Courtney Gilmartin, public information officer FOR the UCF Police Department.

The 22-year-old Boca Raton resident is facing felony charges of sexual assault and false imprisonment, the same ones that Alexander Garces is facing, Gilmartin said.

Garces, a 22-year-old Merritt Island resident, is accused of raping a woman more than 18 years old during the early morning hours July 22 at the fraternity house during a "New Years in July Party," according to a report.

When Garces was contacted by the UCF Police Department, he invoked his right to remain silent and to consult with an attorney, according to a heavily redacted arrest affidavit.

Garces was arrested at about 6 p.m. Aug. 7 at the fraternity house. He was granted a $15,150 bond Tuesday and bonded out on Wednesday.

The fraternity was placed on interim suspension Wednesday by UCF's Office of Student Conduct.
