This was the third attempt  for SpaceX to get the Falcon 9 rocket off the pad at Launch Complex 39A and into orbit 22,000 miles above.

Technical issues and weather postponed both previous attempts about 10 seconds before blastoff Sunday and Monday. The company stood down on the Fourth of July holiday Tuesday.

The Intelsat 35e satellite, which weighs more than 13,000 pounds, will provide services to the Caribbean, Europe and Africa.

Because of the heavy payload, SpaceX will not try to land the first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket.
