Here's the Central Florida weather forecast for the week ahead:

  • Afternoon temps mid to low 90's
  • Heating up the next few days
  • Moderate rip currents through the week
  • SEE BELOW: See our 7-day forecast ▼

It was a quiet Tuesday afternoon with mostly sunny skies and only a few isolated showers. With all of the sunshine around, temperatures were able to soar into the mid-90s. The humidity made it feel more like 100-105 degrees. The high heat will be sticking around for the rest of the week, so stay cool and hydrated. We have low rain chances again Wednesday before picking back up on Thursday.

Mostly cloudy skies are in the forecast through the overnight hours. Temperatures will be warm and muggy, falling into the mid-70s.

After a warm start Wednesday, temperatures will quickly climb into the mid-90s for the afternoon under mostly sunny skies. It will be another oppressive day with heat index temperatures over 100 degrees. A few showers may pop up during the afternoon, but the chance is once again low. We have a slightly higher chance for rain Thursday before backing off again by the end of the week. Temperatures will remain hot.

In the tropics, no new development is expected in the next five days. If heading to the beach to beat the heat, watch for an elevated rip current threat.
