News 13 celebrated the winners of the Project Weather Scholarship contest on Monday night.

Chief meteorologist Bryan Karrick and meteorologist Mallory Nicholls presented each of the graduating seniors a certificate, a backpack filled with goodies and a $1,000 scholarship.
Winners had to excel in science, in addition to volunteering in the community and taking part in extracurricular activities at school.
The scholarship is granted as a part of News 13’s commitment to furthering science education.
The winners are:
- Nicholas McCreary — Homeschool, Brevard County
- Akylah Cox — Dr. Phillips High School, Orange County
- Samantha Maybury — Seminole High School, Seminole County
- Jacob Mosley — Vanguard High School, Marion County
- Kaitlyn O’Malley — Osceola County School for the Arts, Osceola County
- Erica Zevallos-Flagler — Palm Coast High School, Flagler County
- Lea Gray — Seabreeze High School, Volusia County
- Melody Dove — South Lake High School, Lake County
