People living along one Brevard County street discovered racially-charged graffiti spray painted on their homes on Monday. Titusville Police are looking into the vandalism, but at this point it’s unclear who is responsible.

After working all day, Jean Dorvil spent Monday evening painting over the graffiti on the front of his home.

“I don’t hate anybody, I like everybody – black, white – I like everyone,” said Dorvil. “I’m not racist, I like everybody. Why would somebody be racist?"

Dorvil says the graffiti wasn’t there when he came back home from out of town Sunday night. But when he and other people living along Jones Street woke up Monday morning, they found "KKK" and other racially-charged messages spray painted all over their homes.

“It’s just, I’m at a loss for words,” said Christopher Weitzel. “We all work hard, we all have jobs, we all have families, and somebody was bored on their night off and decided to target a neighborhood.”

Weitzel’s home was one of at least four vandalized. He believes whoever did this wasn’t targeting a particular person and is not from the neighborhood.

“I’ve lived here about four years, no issues ever, so it has to be somebody new,” said Weitzel.

No matter who did this, Jean Dorvil is questioning why.

“Why do you think you’re better than the black people?” asked Dorvil.
