The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is investigating a Saturday night shooting in Deltona that left one man hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

The shooting occurred around 8 p.m. Saturday at a home on Lawrence Avenue.

Detectives said Rashadd Griffin, 29, was shot while sitting in his garage. Griffin told detectives a person in a vehicle shot at him several times -- one striking him in the abdomen.

A witness heard Griffin yelling for help, wrapped his wound in a towl, and drove him to Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City, detectives said.

Griffin was later transported to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford for treatment.

Later, around 1 a.m., the Volusia Sheriff's Office was called out to the same location again for a drive-by shooting. Deputies found two bullet holes near the front door of the house and a bullet hole in a couch, inside the house.

Both shootings remain under investigation.
