Here's the Central Florida weather forecast for the weekend ahead:

  • Lower rain chances Saturday, but isolated storms still possible
  • Hot and humid conditions will continue through the weekend
  • SEE BELOW: See our 7-day forecast ▼

It was a hot and humid Friday with a few isolated showers and storms inland. Temperatures got up to the low 90s with heat indices around 100 degrees. Our overnight will remain warm and muggy with temperatures falling into to the mid 70s by daybreak.

Saturday will be hot and humid once again with a few isolated showers and storms in the afternoon, highs will reach the low 90s.

Weekend rain chances will stay a little lower due to some drier air associated with a mid level ridge axis just to our north. As a result, temperatures will be hotter. Expect low to mid-90s for highs both Saturday and Sunday and into early next week with no dramatic changes in this pattern. Any shower and storm activity we see will be associated with typical sea-breeze boundary interactions.

We're also monitoring the tropics, but nothing is forecast to develop over the next five days.

Boaters will have favorable conditions tomorrow with the exception of a chance for a few isolated showers and storms in the afternoon. If you're heading out to the beaches, surfers can expect fair conditions with wave heights coming in at 2-3 feet. Swimmers will face a moderate risk for rip currents so be safe and stay near a lifeguard. UV indices will be elevated once again so don't forget the sunscreen!
