Rain forced NASCAR to postpone the Coca Cola 250 race Friday night at Daytona International Speedway.

Drivers completed 11 laps before it began to rain. The race was rescheduled for Saturday.

Daytona owner International Speedway Corp. brought mixed martial arts to the fan area as a post-race treat for those in attendance. The fights were moved up when the rain began to give fans waiting for racing something else to watch.

NASCAR will have a doubleheader Saturday with Saturday night's Coke Zero 400 still set for 7:30 p.m. Tonight's festivities also will include a Tyler Farr concert and a fireworks display after the night race.

"Coming to a rae at Daytona is not just about watching the cras on the track," said Daytona Speedway President Chip Wiles.

The daylong festivities also will include tributes to Dale Earnhardt Jr., making his last scheduled appearance as a driver at the legendary speedway.

"This is his last slated start and he's on the pole," Wiles said. "He's won here at Daytona 17 times so we wanted to take a lot of little ways to say thank you for all he done for our sport."
