After making 33 stops in 12 cities across the country, the Lockheed Martin Mars Experience Bus is now at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

  • Bus uses virtual reality to make it feel travelers are really on Mars
  • Lockheed Martin's goal is to inspire next generation of explorers
  • This is part of Lockheed Martin's Mars Experience

The bus takes visitors on a trip to the red planet, making them feel like they are riding on the surface of Mars.

Using NASA images, 200-square-miles of Martian landscape are replicated with virtual reality technology.

The goal is to inspire the next generation of explorers, explorers that may one day travel to the real Mars.

The bus officially opens at the visitor complex on Monday and it is a part of the park’s Summer of Mars offerings this season.
