Here's the weekend weather forecast:

The humidity backed off slightly for our Friday, but it was still pretty hot. Temperatures made it into the low 90s with heat index numbers in the mid to upper 90s. A couple of locations felt more like triple digits. A few showers were able to develop along the east coast sea breeze, but nothing too widespread.

Partly cloudy skies are in the forecast through the overnight hours. Temperatures will be warm, falling into the mid-70s.

Saturday will start out sunny, but a few showers and storms will be possible during the afternoon. Temperatures are going to warm quickly to around 90 degrees with the humidity making it feel more like the mid to upper 90s.

More moisture will move back in on Sunday, increasing rain chances for the end of the weekend. High rain chances stick around for much of next week as temperatures back off into the mid to upper 80s.

In the tropics, no development is expected over the next five days.

Beach and boating conditions will be mostly favorable this weekend. There is a moderate rip current risk and you’ll want to watch for developing storms.
