With southerly flow over the last several days along with the great amount of moisture in the atmosphere being sent our way from Tropical Storm Cindy, our rain chances were on the higher end.
Over the next few days, conditions will be stabilizing, which will help keep conditions drier and rain chances lower through the end of the week.
As we approach daybreak, conditions will be muggy and warm, and by the afternoon there is a 50 percent chance of scattered showers and storms due to he interior sea breeze boundary collision. Winds will be out of the southeast, keeping rain chances lower along the coast compared to the inland areas along the I-4 corridor.
Cindy still remains a tropical storm as it makes landfall along the Gulf Coast in Louisiana. It's not expected to hit the Florida peninsula. The storm is expected to become post tropical within the next 12 to 24 hours.
For surfers, conditions will be poor to fair with wave heights 2-3 feet and a small east-southeast trade swell. If you plan on heading out to the beaches, rain chances will be lower and the water temperatures will be warmer in the upper 70s.
There is a moderate risk for rip currents, so be sure to stay near a lifeguard and don't forget the sunscreen.
