Here's the forecast for tonight and Wednesday:

  • Isolated evening rain and patchy fog possible
  • Rain chances back up for Wednesday, down the rest of the week
  • Monitoring tropical activity

Rain chances were lowered Tuesdayday, as a decent area of dry air worked into our atmosphere. Tropical Storm Cindy has been pushing moisture back toward the west coast of Florida, but hasn't been able to make it into Central Florida.

Isolated rain chances are still possible tonight, with some late patchy fog. Lows around 75.

We'll bump rain chances back to 50 percent from 60 percent Wednesday, but Cindy stays WELL west of us.

We'll see some of the moisture from Cindy wrap back around us from the south-southeast, thus rain chances are back to 60 percent Wednesday afternoon.

Highs are expected to reach the upper 80s to lower 90s. A more typical sea breeze pattern sets up Thursday through Sunday, with afternoon storm chances at 30 percent to 40 percent along the collision zones. We heat back into the low to mid 90s during this period as well.

Poor to fair conditions are once again in the cards Wednesday, with a small east-southeast trade swell and wave highs up to waist high. We’re expecting a moderate risk of rip currents, so be careful if you’re out for a swim.

Sea surface temps are currently in the mid-70s up and down the east coast. The UV index is extreme, so grab the sunscreen.
