Two of three bodies found in a Malabar home that investigators say was intentionally set on fire had been shot, a medical examiner has determined.

An official cause of death has not been released, but Craig Engelson of the Brevard County Medical Examiner's Office said Tuesday that 39-year-old Chrissy Hughes of Malabar and her sister, 38-year-old Linda Woods of Bella Vista, Arkansas, had sustained gunshot wounds.

The body of Hughes' 9-year-old son, Sebastian Meachum, was also found in the rubble of the June 11 fire on Atz Road.

Investigators are still looking for Tony Hughes, who is Chrissy's husband and Sebastian's stepfather. Brevard County Sheriff's deputies think the fire that destroyed the home was intentionally set to cover up the killings of the family.

The Coast Guard found a boat registered to the Hughes' driving in circles several miles off shore of Christianson's Landing. The boat was empty, but investigators found what they think to be blood evidence.
