Law enforcement officials are searching for three escaped Jacksonville inmates.

The teens escaped from a Florida Department of Juvenile Justice facility Sunday evening, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

At 11:30 p.m., police received notification of escaped inmates Luther Davis, 16; Derek Browley, 16; and Justin Silva, 15.

The teens overpowered and battered staff members, stole their keys, jumped a fence and fled, investigators said. Police responded with a K-9 search but were unable to find them.

Police think it was a planned escape.
