Clouds and showers with a tropical wave located several hundred miles southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands are better organized this afternoon.

More development is possible during the next few days as the wave moves west at 15-20 mph over the open Atlantic Ocean.

There is a 40 percent chance that the wave could form into a numbered or named system in the next five days.

Another area of low pressure is trying to form over the northwestern Caribbean Sea and the Yucatan Peninsula. There is a 60 percent chance that it could be numbered or named over the next five days.
