A sinkhole swallowed a car at an Ocala shopping complex on Saturday, according to the Ocala Fire Department.
The hole opened sometime around 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot the Gaitway Plaza on Southwest College Road, near the Checkers restaurant.
No injuries were reported.
Heavy rain in the area also caused flooding. State Road 200 was briefly closed as a result.
