Firefighters are battling a large brush fire in Brevard County, fire officials with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service said.
Crews responded to the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge at about 3:45 p.m.
The fire burned an estimated 120 acres east of Peacocks Pocket Road, near Kennedy Space Center, according to Brevard County Fire Rescue.
As of 4:30 p.m., officials said the fire was contained.
