Around 4 a.m. in the morning is when Dr. Cheryl Johnson starts preparing muffins and soups.

"I take it to some of my friends … my elderly friends," says Johnson.

This inspiration why is because of her mother, who passed away about four years ago. Johnson had taken care of her mom for 14 years.

While Johnson has been with Orange County Public Schools for 36 years and currently works at Lockhart Middle School, she even brings soup there for those in need and for those in the community.

Tubs of kale soup, veggie, beef, and chicken are filled up, sealed, and taken to a car.

With the help and support of her family, Johnson visit folks who have become friends throughout town.

"She just loves the Lord, and out of her heart, she gives, and gives, and gives again," said Sylvia Webb of Longwood.
