  • April 5 had a record high of 96 degrees. The previous record was 91 degrees set in 1999.

Melbourne

  • April 3 had a record warm low of 76 degrees. The previous record was 71 degrees set in 1960.
  • April 4 tied a record warm low of 71 degrees set in 1974.
  • April 5 had a record high of 92 degrees. The previous record was 91 degrees set in 1977.
  • April 10 tied a record warm low of 71 degrees set in 1953.
  • April 15 had a record warm low of 74 degrees. The previous record was 73 degrees set in 2015.
  • April 16 had a record warm low of 73 degrees. The previous record was 72 degrees set in 2011.
  • April 19 tied a record warm low of 74 degrees set in 1989.
  • April 21 tied a record warm low of 73 degrees set in 2006.
  • April 24 tied record high of 92 degrees set in 1963.
  • April 28 had a record warm low of 76 degrees. The previous record was 74 degrees set in 2013.
  • April 29 had a record warm low of 78 degrees, which was the all-time record warm low for the site in the month of April. The previous record was 74 degrees set in 2003.
  • April 30 had a record warm low of 76 degrees. The previous record was 73 degrees set in 2012.

Daytona Beach

  • April 3 had a record warm low of 70 degrees. The previous record was 69 degrees set in 1929.
  • April 5 had a record high of 91 degrees. The previous record was 90 degrees set in 1957.
  • April 29 had a record warm low of 74 degrees. The previous record was 73 degrees set in 1991.
  • April 30 had a record warm low of 75 degrees, which is the all-time record warm low for the site in the month of April. The previous record was 72 degrees set in 1991.
  • Here are the average temperatures:
  • Orlando had a monthly average temperature of 74.4 degrees, which was 3.2 degrees above normal. This ties 2006, 2002 and 1912 as the ninth warmest April on record for this site.
  • Daytona Beach had a monthly average temperature of 71.9 degrees, which was 3.0 degrees above normal.
  • Melbourne had a monthly average temperature of 76.0 degrees, which was 5.6 degrees above normal. This ranks as the second warmest April on record for this site.

April rainfall

  • Orlando had a trace of rain for the month, which was 2.68 inches below normal. This ranked as the second driest April on record for the site.
  • Daytona Beach had 1.22 inches of rain for the month, which was 0.96 inches below normal.
  • Melbourne had 0.23 inches of rain for the month, which was 1.90 inches below normal. This ranks as the fifth driest April on record for the site.
  • Clermont had 0.30 inches of rain for the month, which ranks as the seventh driest April on record for the site.
  • Sanford had 0.51 inches of rain for the month, which ranks as the sixth driest April on record for the site.
