Here's the Central Florida weather forecast for overnight Monday and the rest of the workweek:

  • Hot temperatures continue through the week
  • Rain, storm chances return Tuesday afternoon
  • SEE BELOW: See our 7-day forecast

Temperatures were warm Monday morning with lows in the low to mid 70s. Under plenty of sunshine, we warmed quickly into the low to mid 90s for the afternoon. The humidity made it feel even hotter.

We're going to see hot temperatures sticking around for the rest of the week, but rain chances will return Tuesday. This may be the start of the wet season with a chance for afternoon storms possible each day for the next week.

Mostly clear skies are in the forecast through the overnight hours. Temperatures will be warm, falling only into the low to mid 70s. If heading out early Tuesday morning, watch for some areas of patchy fog.

Our Tuesday will start out with mostly sunny skies, but clouds will increase through the afternoon. There will be a slight chance for a few showers through the afternoon and evening hours. A storm or two will be possible with frequent lightning and heavy rain.

There's no relief from the high heat the rest of the week, but rain chances will stick around. We have a decent possibility for afternoon storms each afternoon through the weekend.

Surf conditions remain very poor for Tuesday with an elevated rip current threat. There will also be a slight chop on the ocean due to breezy winds.
