Coast Guard investigating cause of Port Canaveral oil sheen

The U.S. Coast Guard is investigating how a large amount of oil and fuel got into Port Canaveral waters over the weekend.

Viewers sent us pictures of the sheen on the water near the Cove area, where several restaurants are located, including some of dead fish.

Many reported the smell was so strong that it burned their noses.

The Coast Guard is taking samples to find the source of the oil sheen, possibly one of the ships entering or leaving the port.
