Orlando church honors fallen Marine with bust

A Marine from the Orlando area was honored over the Memorial Day weekend.

A bust of Marine Lance Corporal Antoine Smith was unveiled Sunday at First Baptist Orlando.

The 22-year-old lost his life back in 2004 during the battles of Fallujah in Iraq.

He was the only child of Deborah Smith, who attended the ceremony and said she is grateful for the bust of her son.

“It’s my Antoine that I raised, the Antoine I loved and hugged on,” said Deborah Smith.

Antoine Smith was a graduate of Doctor Phillips High School.
