The U.S. Coast Guard rescued four boaters 25 miles east of Port Canaveral on Sunday, the agency said in a news release.

The Coast Guard 7th District Command Center received a distress call at 10:30 a.m.

A Coast Guard Air Station Miami HC-144 Ocean Sentry airplane crew in the area diverted to the scene to search.

An abandoned vessel was located at 12:30 p.m.

Coast Guard crews expand their search to find the boaters.

Two adults and two children were rescued and taken to Port Canaveral.

They were all wearing life jackets, according to officials. No injuries were reported.
