With country music's biggest acts expected to draw more than 75,000 to Daytona Beach just days after a concert bombing in England, officials are taking extra security steps for this weekend's Country 500.

  • Country 500 expected to draw 75,000 people
  • 3-day music festival features Blake Shelton, Keith Urban
  • Security tight in wake of deadly UK concert bombing

The three-day music festival at Daytona International Speedway will feature almost 30 acts, including Brooks and Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Hank Williams Jr., Blake Shelton, Martina McBride, Keith Urban, Kid Rock.

But concerns after a deadly suicide bombing at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester on Monday has taken center stage on the opening night of this weekend's festival.

Speedway officials said they have been working with local and federal law enforcement to maintain security.

People going into one of several music stages had their belongings searched, and no weapons of any kind were allowed inside. Music fans' vehicles, campers and trucks were being searched, and people were required to go through several checkpoints.

One fan who went to the first Country 500 last year said she's noticed more security this year.

“I’ve seen more police walking around with the big guns, and I just see more everywhere I look,” Taylor Carofano said.

Law enforcement officers said in addition to visible security measures, there are other measures being taken behind the scenes they can't talk about.

The Country 500 takes place Friday-Sunday. Check the speedway's website for lineup and ticket details.
