A Sanford woman recently won $1 million in a Florida Lottery scratch-off game, one of several Central Floridians just this month who won $1 million from scratch-off games.

Barbara Carpenter, 32, claimed the prize in the $10 million "World Class Cash" scratch-off game at the lottery's headquarters in Tallahassee. She took a lump-sum payment of $748,000.

She bought her ticket at a 7-Eleven convenience store on South Semoran Boulevard in Orlando, which will get a $2,000 commission for the sale, the lottery said.

Tickets for the World Class Cash game are $25.

Just this month, $1 million scratch-off prizes have been announced for David Phillips of Altamonte Springs, Boguslawa Hanson of Orlando and David Stubbs of Polk County. All took lump-sum payments.
