Here's the Central Florida weather forecast for the rest of the workweek:

We will have partly cloudy skies overnight with a few lingering showers. A 30 percent chance. The lows will drop into the low to middle 70s. The winds will be a bit gusty out of the southwest at 10-15 mph.

Mostly cloudy skies on Wednesday with a very good chance of showers and possible strong storms. A 70 percent chance of showers and storms. The highs will be stay in the low to mid 80s. The winds will be out of the southwest at 15-20 mph but much higher in any storms that develop.

Mostly cloudy skies tomorrow night with a 60 percent chance of showers and storms. The lows drop to near 70.

We start drying out and heating up as we head towards the upcoming weekend. A 30 percent percent chance of showers early on Thursday then partly to mostly sunny skies into the weekend.

Our highs approach the low to mid 90s by Saturday and Sunday. A few spotty showers possible on Monday.

Boaters should exercise caution on Wednesday. The winds will be breezy out of the southwest 15-20 knots but higher in some thunderstorms. The seas will be running at 3-4 feet. There will be a moderate to high rip risk along the coast. It will be choppy on the intracoastal.

The water temperature is 78 at Daytona Beach and 82 at Cocoa Beach.
