  • Armed robbers demanded money
  • Suspects left with at least $2,000

The men walked into the restaurant at 18900 US Highway 441 at about 3:30 a.m.

Customers and employers were forced into a freezer. A McDonald’s employee was forced to open the safe, police said.

Police said the people inside of the freezer tried to call 911 but were unable to get service.

A customer who used the drive-thru realized a robbery was taking place and alerted police.

The suspects ran away with at least $2,000, according to police, and remain on the loose.

They were last seen running southbound on Donnelly Street.

The same McDonald’s was also robbed in February.
