A wrong-way driver is dead after striking another vehicle head-on on Colonial Drive in Orange County on Thursday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Alejandra Gomez Matta, 38, was driving a 2009 four-door Acura westbound in the eastbound lanes on Colonial Drive at around 9:50 p.m., troopers said.
That's when she struck 52-year-old Shawn Webb's 2004 Ford SUV head-on, FHP said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers don't yet know whether the Lake Wales woman was wearing a seat belt or whether alcohol was involved.
Webb, from Orlando, suffered minor injuries and was wearing a seat belt, FHP said.
