Two very commonly used parking lots in the area are closing down permanently. Starting Monday morning two parking spaces, City Lot 10 and City Lot 9 North will close.

All these changes are part of the I-4 Ultimate project which is rebuilding 21 miles of roadway. We spoke to one resident, Cris McFarlin who happens to be an Orlando City fan and also frequents downtown often.

He says he's not looking forward to the change. "We don't even know what we're going to do in the future here. So we will have to wait and see,” McFarlin said. “It's kind of trial and error thing. But the parking situation close to the stadium is not real good. Don't really feel like it's a real safe area to be parking our cars in some of those areas."

These two closures are in addition to the existing closures up ahead at City Lot 9 South and Bob Snow Lane, these closed down a couple of years back.

Now, what are some alternatives as far as parking here in downtown? The city is recommending: Garland Avenue Lot, Jefferson Street Garage and Central Boulevard Garage.
