We had another hot day Sunday with highs around 90 degrees. Most stayed dry, but there were a few showers that developed late in the day along the sea breeze. Rain chances do pick up, however, starting Monday and sticking around for several days this week. Highs will remain warm, in the upper 80s to around 90 degrees.
Partly cloudy skies are in the forecast through the overnight hours. With enough moisture around, some areas of fog will be possible inland as we head toward daybreak. Temperatures will once again be warm, dropping into the mid to low 70s.

Rain chances will start to increase Monday as a system to our west strengthens. This system will start to erode the high pressure that has been dominating our weather for quite some time. This means that we’ll not only have a chance for rain Monday, but at least a slight chance each day through Friday. The chance will be higher on Tuesday and Friday as fronts pass through. The front Tuesday will not impact our temperatures, but we’ll see a slight drop in numbers this weekend after the front moves through on Friday.
